Early preparations for the next full national donorflex user conference are making steady progress following last week's decision to hold it in early 2011, rather than later this year.
The steady flow of responses to our online DUC survey continue to suggest that's the wisest choice, with the start of April being the warm favourite.
We're still a few days from focussing on the format and content, but our firm expectation is that DUC 2011 will be:
- A two-day event
- On either a Tuesday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Thursday
- In either the first or second week of April
Why have we plumped for this timing? Well, February is already very busy with regional conferences, as well as school half-terms around the country. March sees the build-up to end-of-year duties for the majority of clients - and we're not about to make life difficult for the finance office delegates who will be such an important focus at the DUC.
Add to that the fact that Easter falls in late April, next year, and the timing almost decides itself.
Don't forget, to ensure there's an opportunity to share insight and information – and a little fun – with clients in 2010, we'll be running Regional User Group roadshows in September instead.
While plans for the roadshows will be discussed at CDS in the next 10 days or so, don't forget that it's important for us to hear what you'd like next year's big conference to deliver.
Indeed, this week provides your final chance to shape our decisions. If you click this DUC 2011 survey link, you can give us your thoughts on a series of questions. Over to you!
