Care Data Systems is delighted to confirm that donorflex Lottery has signed up to be the main sponsor of the Hospice Lottery Association's 2010 conference.
The CDS team is looking forward to joining HLA members in Stratford in September and playing its part in the growing success of the annual event.
The move comes as interest in the newly launched donorflex Lottery system reaches new highs, following the successful run of user seminars at the start of the year.
"It's a natural step for us, and we're very happy that the HLA has welcomed us as its sponsor this year," says managing director Brian Todd.
"Our involvement with the hospice lottery movement has increased during the past couple of years as donorflex Lottery has been developed, and many members have played an important part in shaping and polishing the system we've delivered. It's logical that we should put something back, and the sponsorship allows to do this, as well – of course – as building stronger ties with existing and future users."
The event, on Wednesday-Thursday, September 15-16, sees a return to the Stratford Manor Hotel, with organisers determined to mirror the huge success of the 2008 and 2009 gatherings there.
"The HLA conference objective is to provide hospice Lottery managers from all over the UK the benefit of networking in relaxed surroundings and receiving the latest up-to-date information on products, systems and legislation," says HLA chairman Garth Caswell.
"Conference workshops allow time for specific issues, problems and their solutions to be debated in detail. Members and suppliers benefit jointly from being able to share and discuss the latest ideas and processes in the exhibition sessions. The annual Association dinner is a time to relax together and enjoyed by all. A unique experience not to be missed."
As well as providing a networking opportunity and representing more than 100 hospice lotteries throughout the UK, the HLA's pivotal role in the sector includes:
-
Information update: Helping to keep members up to date with changing legislation and business issues
-
Advocacy: Acting on behalf of individual or group hospice lotteries in dealings with the Gambling Commission, Government and other outside organisations
-
Representation: The voice of the hospice lottery movement with the Gambling Commisssion, Lotteries Council and Government
