dmailer is about to take a big step forward.
Our simple-to-use bulk-emailing application has become an indispensable part of life at many donorflex users since we introduced it almost two years ago.
Now we're preparing to launch dmailerclick.
As the name suggests, while basic dmailer takes an html or text message and sends it to target email addresses listed in a CSV mailing file, dmailerclick's 'clickthrough' functionality for html messages provides users with the means of identifying those email addresses that either:
- Open the email newsletter or
- Open the message and respond to it
It does this by tracking who opens the newsletter, and also who clicks any URL link embedded in the newsletter. This tracking data's then available for users to view on www.donorflex.com and download a CSV file for further analysis.
Details of the launch date and pricing will be available in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, basic dmailer also boasts a new feature.
Until now, in order to appear with the email in the recipient's Inbox, images had to be ‘inline' – that is, inserted into html message templates from the same folder as the template.
Now users can insert an ‘external' http link to a website image – an example being http://www.donorflex.com/images/stories/dmailer_logo_large.jpg for the dmailer logo that sits at the end of all donorflex newsletters.
This new feature will be particularly helpful for dmailer users whose html newsletter templates are created by an outside PR organisation and delivered to the Communications or Fundraising team as a link in an e-mail.
