Delight at IOF Yorkshire signature role

Great to make new friends in York

The donorflex team is basking in the warmth of a captivating couple of days at the IOF Yorkshire Conference.

Our role as signature sponsor at York’s majestic Principal Hotel allowed us to broaden our existing relationship with the IOF by building an even bigger presence on a regional basis.

The successful two-day event – on Thursday-Friday, May 10-11 – capped a busy period for us that coincided with the second half of our season of regional user group roadshows during April and May.

Kate Carroll and her IOF Yorkshire committee assembled a fresh and compelling line-up of plenary and workshop sessions.

The pick of them were the keynote addresses that opened each of the two days.

Coaching guru Alf Dunbar launched the event by explaining how and why ’attitude is everything’, while Mandy Johnson, CEO of the Small Charities Coalition, set Day Two off by explaining why ’small is powerful’. Both hit the mark with precision.

Apart from the chance to spend two days of quality time with friends old and new, we’re particularly pleased that the signature sponsorship role allowed us to offer one lucky fundraiser the chance to attend the conference for free.

“We’re perceived as a software developer, but the reality is that we’re very much part of the movement," donorflex managing director Brian Todd told delegates. "Our heart is in fundraising and support. The only way we really learn about the challenges we face is by sitting with you and talking."

Kate Carroll’s post-conference message has added to the warm feeling in the wake of the event.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you, not just for sponsoring the conference – which you know meant the world to us – but also for adding such value to it," she said. "We’ve heard nothing but positive feedback, and that’s thanks to our speakers and our sponsors for making it the event it was!"

It’s our pleasure, David!
