donorflex takes lead role at Hospice UK conference

Old friends and new are at the top of the agenda as 2018 breaks into a gallop for the donorflex team.

A relationship going back almost 30 years is rekindled with Hospice UK, when we take the lead sponsor’s role at the organisation’s new national Fundraising Conference, at Solihull’s St John’s Hotel on Tuesday, February 20.

A few days later – on Thursday, March 1 – we’ll be joining hundreds of small charities at the London Resource Centre for the Foundation for Social Improvement’s Skills Conference, delivering a workshop on a subject that’s close to our hearts, managing data in the new GDPR era.

A fortnight later, we’ll be at Bristol’s Bristol Hotel for the annual National Association of Hospice Fundraisers’ Conference, which takes place on Monday-Tuesday, March 19-20.

“We’re looking forward to the FSI and Hospice UK events immensely,” says donorflex managing director Brian Todd. “The Skills conference gives us an opportunity to sit down with a lot of charities for whom GDPR looms particularly large, so we’ll be interested to hear their thoughts and questions and share some of our own.

“And partnering Hospice UK for their fundraising-focussed conference is equally important. The two organisations have advanced in parallel over the past 30-odd years, and we’ve both played a big part in the way that hospices have grown as part of the fabric of our communities and the charity sector.”

With barely a pause for breath, the donorflex team will then settle in to final preparations for 2018’s run of Regional User Group roadshows, which kick off at Birmingham’s Midlands Arts Centre on Tuesday, April 17, and come to a close – a further seven dates later – with the North-East 2 gathering at Darlington’s Holiday Inn Scotch Corner on Thursday, May 17.
