Back to newsThe never-give-up spirit of income generators across the UK will be showcased at two eagerly anticipated virtual events as summer draws to a close and the donorflex team is delighted to be a part of both.
We were due to headline sponsor the Hospice Lotteries Associations annual two-day conference for the eleventh year, in September, but well be gathering with them online instead to celebrate all thats great in the hospice lottery world.
The HLA team has moved mountains to organise the event in double-quick time, and weve recorded a special Let there be light video sharing great ideas from clients to open the conference as headline sponsors on Wednesday, September 16.
The top-notch agenda includes the traditional contribution from the Gambling Commission, as well as an opportunity for share the successes that have helped to bolster their fundraising during the lockdown, so far.
Eight days later, our gaze will turn north for the first Scottish Fundraising Conference, which plugs a gap on the nations income generation diary on Thursday, September 24.
Its the brainchild of Scottish fundraising luminaries Morag Fleming and Annemarie Devlin, whove created their own Devlin Fleming Fundraising consultancy during lockdown.
The day-long event promises to match the energy and inspiration thats driving charities response to the challenges of Covid-19 which is why we were quick to take up the invitation to sponsor the event.
Back in March, we took an early team decision that the lockdown wasnt going to mean we should step back from our normal conference commitments at a time when the crisis called for everyone being adaptable and imaginative, says donorflexs managing director, Brian Todd.
To see Colette Newman and her colleagues overcoming the disappointment of cancelling HLA 2020, and being inspired by the challenge of organising an online alternative, was a reminder that the sectors blessed with character and a can-do attitude.
Thats certainly the case in Scotland. Weve known Morag for many, many years frankly, when she makes contact to suggest an idea, you dont often say no. So were looking forward to feeding off the energy of the new Scottish event, too.
Our Scottish Fundraising Conference is off to a healthy start! We thought we would share our thoughts on why we would take this brave step! Or was it crazy decision?! https://t.co/LgLL2t8ENE
