The donorflex teams bursting with pride after being recognised for the quality of support for one of our oldest clients through a large part of the pandemic.
Douglas Macmillan Hospices Business Partnership Awards 2022 thanked more than 30 businesses for their unwavering support.
donorflexs Supplier Excellence Commendation was presented to client development consultant Jo Davies by Dougie Macs income generation director, Karen McKenzie.
In the past year, Jo and Karen and their broader teams have focussed on the data management needs emerging from the hospices amalgamation with the citys childrens hospice, The Donna Louise.
"I was looking forward so much to the Dougie Mac gathering," said donorflex managing director Brian Todd. The invitation was particularly special for me, having worked with them since 1991."
Since January last year, Dougie Mac has cared for more than 1,000 people through its community and hospice at home teams, and an additional 400 in their wards as residents.
To describe the last two years as turbulent would be an understatement, Dougie Mac Chief Executive David Webster told the 135-strong audience at Stoke Citys Bet365 stadium.
Last year, our conventional sources of donated support bounced back remarkably well with income from legacies, fundraising and our lottery and our Dougie Mac shops returning from pre-Covid levels.
As if such resilience in the face of seismic changes in the health care sector is not enough, I must also spotlight our landmark amalgamation of the local childrens hospice, for Donna Louise in to Dougie Mac.
We work with the key drivers of the UK charity sector.
