donorflex attend Data Access Europe developer day in Birmingham
Along with Managing Director, Brian Todd, donorflex Chief Systems Engineer Peter Bragg and his team of David Knowles, Andrew Kennard, Aswathy Nirmal and Luke Adams last week attended a UK DataFlex Developer Day, held in Birmingham.
Harm Wibier and Bram Nijenkamp from Data Access Europe flew in from the Netherlands to lead the morning’s presentations, talking about and showing all the latest, exciting developments being made to DataFlex, the programming language that sits at the very heart of our donorflex software. Our team were left in no doubt that the direction of travel of DataFlex aligns perfectly with our own visions and aspirations for our own software.
Into the afternoon sessions and it was over to our team. Peter delivered a presentation on how Font Icons can be easily incorporated into DataFlex Web Applications, whilst Luke and Aswathy, new to the team, talked about their DataFlex programming journey to date with the aid of some fun game applications that they have developed.
Finally, Mike Peat of Unicorn Interglobal showed how the same code could be used to create great looking user interfaces for both windows and web.
Chief Systems Engineer Peter Bragg said, “Speaking with the team, it was clear that everyone felt enthused and excited about all the developments that will be coming our way. Just as importantly, the whole team were delighted to catch up with Harm and Bram (and others) again, or in some cases, meet up for the first time. There was a noticeable buzz in the office the day afterwards and I know we’re all looking forward to the next opportunity to take part in such a day again.”
