What our clients wanted
First, they've had a desire to integrate Lottery and fundraising databases, both to avoid duplication and to provide greater opportunity for targeting lottery players / donors in a structured, systematic way.
Second, they've questioned whether maintaining a relationship with an external, third-party lottery management system represents the best value for money. That's why Care Data Systems has decided to offer donorflex Lottery functionality as an optional module.
It will be integrated perfectly with donorflex, but will be subject to its own software support contract.
As Lottery income grows in importance to charities across the country, we're certain clients won't want to miss out.
The donorflex Lottery module will be offered to clients as an optional chargeable extra, subject to its own level of independent annual software support agreement and support framework.
Although the Lottery module is an additional sub-system, it nevertheless integrates perfectly with other relevant donorflex procedures.

The principle features will be as follows:
- All players will be registered in the donorflex database via standard record maintenance procedures
- All communications with players may be conducted via the standard the communications procedures that donorflex clients already use day in, day out
- The Lottery Play schedule offers a palette of choices ranging from one-off special draws to regular, recurring draws
- Each player entry is given a unique Form Number A player may purchase as many forms as they wish
- A single payment can be made to cover multiple forms and any number of advance weeks
- Player payments can be made in step with Lottery legislation and will often be made via cheque/cash but will include Direct Debit as an option
- The donorflex Lottery module provides for Agents and Collectors to be recognised, and for commissions to be calculated as a standard reporting feature
- The standard reporting features identify the play constituency for each and every play week
- Winners are logged and can be audited Audit controls protect against misuse

Random Number Generator
donorflex Lottery's Random Number Generator has been independently tested, using a variety of industry-standard statistical tests.
No issues have been identified, and the Random Number Generator is considered to be "fit for purpose", according to the Gambling Commission-approved test house that carried out the tests.
